Exploring Belly Rings

Just about anywhere you go you will see someone with a piercing in a place you might not have thought is possible. One of the most readily seen areas of piercing seems to be the belly button piercing. Young women have been showing off their midsections and the piercing that goes along with it.

A belly ring is an adorning decoration for the navel. Belly button rings typically come in a curved barbell or circular shape. Belly rings are popular around the world, as a status symbol and a trendy fashion accessory. Metals for belly rings include surgical steel, solid 14k gold, silver, niobium, titanium etc. Gold or silver plated metals may break easily or cause irritation to your belly button. You can have a totally different shape, a dangling piece, or any number of parts, on a belly button ring that can make it perfect for you. If you are pregnant you can wear your belly button ring up to the 5th or 6th month. Once the skin on your abdomen begins to significantly stretch you should take it out or upsize the gauge.

For hygienic reasons it is better to use gold or surgical steel, sterling silver silver belly rings must be plated with pure silver over sterling.

    Hi,
the information you shared is really up to the mark. I was five months pregnant and I was suggested by the doctor to remove it.
