Don’t Share Your Body Jewelry

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

I love jewelry. It’s fun; it sparkles; it can be personalized. Sharing necklaces and bracelets is fine.. but sharing body jewelry (including earrings, belly button rings, etc.) can be hazardous to your health.

Basically, if you share body jewelry, it comes in contact with your blood.  If you have any diseases that are passed via blood they are shared with the other user.  This may be as simple as a cold or as dangerous as Hepatitis C.

Many say they simply disinfect their jewelry — but most people don’t do a good enough job of disinfecting.

It’s much cheaper to simply get your own body jewelry.   Buy exactly what you want to wear and enjoy it!
