Help Charity … By Buying Jewelry!

Sometimes one appreciates an excuse to do what one loves. If one loves jewelry, it has never been easier to support great charities — by buying jewelry!

There are many types of jewelry sales for charities. There main types of ways to support charity by buying jewelry:

Jewelry Sold At Charity Auctions

These types of sales are often easy to find. Sometimes your local library or school will even do this. Some sales are bigger than others. You can often get celebrity jewelry this way — but expect an extra high price as well! Still it is often for a wonderful cause.

Here is a medium priced charity auction I stumbled across: Jewelry Sale Benefits Lake Logan

Jewelry Specifically Made For Charity

The most popular of this type of jewelry is awareness pins and Lance Armstrong bracelets. Yet, this too can get very fancy and beautiful. An Italian designer has created a specific line to support charity: Bulgari’s Save The Children Campaign

This jewelry is gorgeous and will be available next year.

Jewelry That Partially Supports Charity Through Proceeds

Though many would argue that this is only partial giving, I really like to encourage businesses that make giving back part of their business plan. Helping ones community is fantastic. My favorite one from Austin Texas is:

My Charms for Charity

Most of their pieces are between $9 – $15. They donate $3 to charity. (20-33%). The jewelry is affordable and supports a great cause.

What is your favorite jewelry for charity event, organization or store?
