For every person, jewelry can mean a lot of things. It can be a symbol of wealth, status and even affection but it is definitely not your usual stuff. Often jewelry is expensive hence there has always been a special meaning behind it. Aside from the fact that it is a symbol of social status, it is common to make jewelry a family heirloom. How about in the case of women? What is a woman’s perspective of jewelries?

Jewelry Appeal

Every woman loves jewelry. In fact, there is even a saying that “Diamonds are a woman’s best friend.” Of course, that is just an adage to emphasize how valuable jewelry is to a woman. Although women’s jewelry comes in different styles, colors, and sizes, still certain types of jewels appeal to a specific kind of woman. In other words, some women like pearls while other like precious stones. Simply put women’s jewelry caters to every woman’s unique personality and taste.

Knowing that there are many and varied women’s jewelry: what should be the basis when choosing one? If you plan on giving the jewelry as a gift, choosing one will all boil down to the recipient or the woman’s individual style and the budget that you have. These same factors should be considered if you plan on buying one yourself.

Styles of Jewelry

There are countless styles of jewelry. So before rushing to the jewelry store and to prepare yourself, you need to do some researching first. Start with simple questions such as: what type of woman are you buying the jewelry for? Is she the flashy or the simple type? Does she like gemstones or just plain gold and silver? If you can answer any of these questions then you are closer to finding out the perfect jewelry. Better yet, if you can take a quick peek at her jewelry box that would give you more ideas on the type of jewelry she likes. Don’t ever forget about her birthday and also ask for the opinion of people closest to her. Why? That’s because you want to give her something that dazzles her. If you can’t ask her or her friends, read about gemstone jewelry trivia to find a stone that fits her lifestyle (as well as nice trivia to add to your gift).

How To Present Your Jewelry

After buying jewelry, decide how you want to present the jewelry (and when!). If you bought fancy jewelry, you may want to create the perfect scene for gifting. Having your jewelry in a bouquet of flowers or presented on a red carpet can add a touch of intensity. Playful jewelry can be given more lightly if desired - such as celebrating a success or in response to a bad day.

When To Give Jewelry

Choosing the right date can be fun. If you are given expensive jewelry you want it to be remembered and fully appreciated. You may choose a date matching a 1 year anniversary of meeting, birthday or marriage anniversary. Jewelry often symbolizes sentimental and important occasions. So make it an occasion to remember.

I agree! The only thing that I would add here is that a jewelry gift is ESPECIALLY appreciated (i.e., you look GOOD, buddy) when you give it for no particular occasion. Not a birthday or anniversary, just a Monday or a Tuesday when telling her that she’s special would really convince her that you mean it.
