Whether you like a chain adorned or unadorned, most people have a preference for the type of chain they use. There are many types of chains – as well as many materials. What is favorite type of chain?

According to Amazon, their bestselling chain is a Attractive Sterling Silver 1 MM Italian Box Link Chain (currently on sale from $6.99-9.99 depending on length). Though we enjoy sterling silver chains, I wonder if this is due to price or to the type of chain.

Silk Cord

A close second bestseller from Amazon would be BLACK Silk Cord Chain (for $7.99). These silk cords are very soft and are also quite popular. These are fantastic for casual wear.

Gold Chain

We love the richness of gold jewelry. It is more expensive – but also seems to keep its value a bit better. Of course, we try to buy it on sale to help with the price! One of the top sellers on Amazon is: 14 KT Yellow Gold 0.6 MM 14K Baby Box Chain 16 (for $39.99 (down from $111.99). It looks wonderful so not surprised it is a best seller too. So gold gets our vote … unless we have a silver pendant.
