The meaning of yellow is determined through its different shades. A pure and bright shade of yellow symbolizes happiness and joy. Pale yellow represents an unrequited love and pure energy. It has some traces of magnesium causing the yellow color of the stone. The large yellow tourmalines were very rare in Malawi and only 10% were of good quality.     I had absolutely no idea that one could get Yellow Tourmalines and that in fact one could only get blue, I am not a huge fan of different colored gems I like the basics, thanks for a great post once again it always great to get new information.

    I have always thought that yellow is a happy color, well look how happy people are when the sun is shining, and giving yellow roses is a sign of friendship and that is always a happy thing. Thats an interesting comment that there is a scent that comes off the Tourmalines
